Senior agriculture scientist, Dr S B Das has been appointed as Head of Entomology Department, Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwavidyalaya (JNKVV), on Wednesday. It may be noted that Dr S B Das is working as senior scientist at the State’s only Organic Pests Research – Production Centre at JNKVV. During his 15 years’ service tenure, Dr Das has conducted special research on use of insects and fungal diseases in organic farming for pest management. He played key role in establishment of Organic Pests Research and Production Centre which is only of its kind in the State. On his appointment, scientists, professors, employees and students have congratulated him and wished for success in the future.
