Successful embryo-transplantation of 12 Sahiwal cows was conducted at Nanaji Deshmukh Veterinary Science University. The embryo-transplantation was conducted undedr the head of MoU between Nanaji Deshmukh Veterinary Science University, Jabalpur and Uttarakhand Live Stock Development Board, Dehradun. A team comprised of Dr. Ajay Pal Singh Aaswal, Dr Mayank Maithani of Uttarakhand Live Stock Development Board, Dehradun and Dr A P Singh, Director, Bio Technology Centre, Dr Nitin Bajaj, Dr Vishnu Gupta and Dr Abhishek Bisen of NDVSU successfully conducted embryo transplantation of 12 Sahiwal cows.

 

It may be mentioned that total 24 embryos were collected from high breed bulls during January 2021 and 12 of them were transplanted and eight cows were conceived after the transplantation. The entire technical process was minutely monitored by NDVSU, Vice-chancellor, Dr Sita Prasad Tiwari. He congratulated the entire team and directed for conducting embryo transplantation in large scale in near future. It was informed that the embryo-transplantation will be continued till August 19.
