District Collector Karamveer Sharma chaired a meeting of the District Health Committee and reviewed the progress of works under ongoing schemes being run by the Health Department. While reviewing progress of Dastak Abhiyan he directed to remove the morbidity of children below the age of 5 years. He also sought detailed information about maternal and child deaths, institutional deliveries, malnourished and undernourished children, recruitment in NRC, vaccination, birth rate and sex ratio, eradication of tuberculosis, control of dengue and malaria etc. While expressing great displeasure for not ensuring progress in schemes run by the Health Department and not giving correct date in the presentation, he directed to issue show cause notice to 50 senior officers and check their increment.
 
He also expressed dissatisfaction over the submission of arbitrary figures in achieving the target during the period till August 19 under Dastak Abhiyan. The Collector also asked to serve notice to Urban APM Sandeep Namdev, working under the National Health Mission and not pay the salary of Medical Officer. Likewise, Sharma also directed to service notice to Panagar BMO Dr. Santosh Thakur for giving wrong information about malnourished children and also asked check salary of Sihora’s Block Medical Officer Dr. Raghavendra Tripathi and Block Medical Officer Kundam Dr. Sonu Sharma for not attending the meeting.
 
Later, he also directed to issue notice to Superintendent Elgin Hospital Dr. R.K. Khare in regard with investigation of Sonography centers under PCPNDT and not attending the meeting. Likewise, the angry Collector Sharma also instructed to issue MCN to Shahpura BPM Rakesh Tripathi for not updating data, Shriram Parakhe, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer for not attending the meeting and District Malaria Officer Dr. Rakesh Paharia for not placing correct report in presentation, not having detailed information on Dengue and number of dengue patients. Apart from issuing show cause notice to lax officials the Collector also directed to take stern action against private hospitals and nursing homes which are not implementing Government’s schemes.
