Amit Malik steals the show with his violin in ‘Gamak’

 Amit Malik is playing violin with his team while performing for online cultural series ‘Gamak’ in Bhopal on Wednesday.

Ustaad Alauddin Khan Music and Arts Academy took charge of Wednesday’s cultural series Gamak, which is being telecasted online amidst Covid-19 crisis. The programme held on Wednesday witnessed vocalisations of Poorvi Tonpe and team from Gwalior under the Gayan performance, succeeded by Violin-playing performance by Amit Malik and team, Bhopal. The program went live on the YouTube channel and Facebook page of the academy. Poorvi Tonpe and team headed the program with their melodious voices on the songs “Man Mohan Kanha” in Raag Vachaspati Vilambit Teentaal, “Chhedo na mohe” in Dyut Aada Chautaal and brought the performance to an end with the symphonious Kabir Bhajan “Bin Balam”. The violin- playing performance took over Gayan, where Amit Malik and team delivered the spirited presentations by beginning with Raag Rageshri in Vilambit Ektaal.
 
Thereafter the musical group presented a musical composition in Madhya Lay Ektaal and concluded the soulful performance with Jhala in Teentaal. On August 26, 2021, the Madhya Pradesh Urdu Academy will take over the stage to present the Sham-e-Mausiqui cultural program, under which Ghazal singer Gurmeet Singh Dang from Indore and Kirti Sood from Bhopal will voice their renditions of Bhopal- famous Ghazals. The performances will go live on the YouTube channel and Facebook page of the academy. Sham-e-Mausiqui to be staged today: The Madhya Pradesh Urdu Academy will lead the Thursday’s Gamak program titled Sham-e-Mausiqui on Thursday. The programme will go live on the YouTube channel and Facebook page of the academy.
 
The Director of the academy, Nusrat Mehdi, underlined the significance of the Gamak program, stating that it will facilitate in highlighting the the need of art diversity in literature and the significance of fine arts. She further informed that, on Thursday, August 26 in the "Sham-e-Mausiqui" program, famous Ghazal singer Gurmeet Singh Dang from Indore and Kirti Sood from Bhopal will deliver musical performances of Bhopal- famous Ghazals. The program will be conducted by Firdous Masroor. Mehdi has appealed to all art lovers and musicians to connect with the program online.
