Mucormycosis has been one of the worst epidemics after COVID. There have been a lot of people who have suffered because of it. It has spared no age group. It led to a lot of emergency surgical debridement, prolonged hospitalisation and multiple medications . Kingsway Hospitals team are with mucor survivors to continue fighting against this deadly disease. There has been a lot of emotional trauma, financial constraints, medicine related adverse effects, inability to take proper diet. Hence, to help them fight these issues and motivate them, Mucor Survivors Meet will be organised at Kingsway Hospitals on August 28 from 11 am onwards.
 
Here psychological counselling, counselling regarding rehabilitation will be done. All the patients and relatives will be given a chance to share their issues. This concept has been initiated by the team of doctors which include Dr Shweta Lohiya (ENT Consultant), Dr Ashwini Tayade (ID Specialist), Dr Vipin Dehane (Maxillo Facial Surgeon) and physicians Dr Harshwardhan Bora and Dr Atul Somani, Intensivist Dr Rajan Barokar, Dr Virendra Belekar and Dr Afzal Sheikh, Ophthalmologist Dr Ashish Kamble and Endocrinologist Dr Pramod Gandhi.
