The Indian men’s hockey team has brought laurels to the country by winning bronze medal in the national sport hockey at the Tokyo Olympics. There is an excitement in the nation after knowing that Indian men’s Hockey team has won a medal in the Olympics after four decades and also Ravi Dahiya won a silver medal in wrestling. To celebrate this achievements of the hockey team, the senior-office bearers and members of Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM), on Thursday burst firecrackers and distributed sweets among the citizens at Malviya Chowk. Senior office-bearers of BJYM said, “It’s a proud moment for the country. Hockey is our national sport and getting a respectable position in the national game makes the country proud.” They said Thursday become most significant as it is the day when two medals have been bagged for the country.
 
A BJYM member said, “A player always tries to give his best and for the same he toils hard day and night with all his strength then only he achieves the goal. In the Olympics, Indian players have won medal in other sports as well.” Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha congratulated the sportspersons too and expressed gratitude towards them as these players have also brought honour to the country with their outstanding performance. Those present on the occasion were Ranjit Patel, Rahul Kapoor, Chandrashekhar Patel, Shanu Dubey, Aniket Chourasia, Aakash Gupta, Akeel Ahmed, Goldy Patel, Rahul Singh, Harshit Rai, and others.
