Vice-chancellor, Jawaharlal Nehru Agriculture University (JNAU), Dr Pradeep Kumar Bisen mentioned about huge scope of agriculture-based industries in Mahakoshal region. The Vice-chancellor was addressing a workshop held at Manthan auditorium of Directorate of Research Services, located at Jawaharlal Nehru Agriculture University. Agriculture Scientist, Dr. RS Shukla talked in length about advanced varieties of wheat developed by the University. Director, Research Services, Dr. JK Kotu proudly shared that the species developed by the university are sown across the world. Santosh Palkar, Director, Peetambara Industry, Thane, Maharashtra and members, Sanjay Deshmukh and Naresh Shinde displayed special interest on the Sharbati JW 3382 and 3288 and proposed to sign a MoU.

 

It may be mentioned that Peetambara Industry exports it's products in around 5 lakh retail stores in 22 countries including India. Vice-Chancellor, Dr Bisen promised them to provide all technical support. Other dignitaries who present include former Director, Dr P K Mishra, Director, Field, Dr D K Pahalwan, Head of Department, Food Science, Dr Shivshankar Shukla, IPRO, Dr Mumtaz Ahmad Khan, Dr Moni Thomas, Dr Anay Rawat, Dr Sanjay Singh and Dr Rajendra Singh Thakur and others were present.
