Miles and Milers celebrated National Sports Day by organising a cycle rally. Cyclists of Nagpur participated in the rally in large numbers. Nagpur Municipal Commissioner Radhakrishnan B and Bicycle Mayor of Nagpur Dr Amit Samarth were the prominent guests on the occasion. They gave a message to make Nagpur a Cycling City. Many members of Miles and Milers Sports Academy pedalled hundreds of kilometres in and around the city to mark this occasion. Rotary Club also organised a sensitisation event to promote cycling as a way of life amongst Nagpurians. Radhakrishnan B himself rode 150 kms.
 
This points towards his sincere dedication towards the mission “India Pedals for Change’ by the Central Government. Dr Samarth who is an ultra-cyclist himself, encouraged citizens of all ages and genders to take up cycling for short commutes in the city such as to the market, to office, schools, colleges and to hang out with friends. It is the beginning of a sort of green revolution towards a healthier, happier life in Nagpur city. ‘Sports help in developing confidence’ KARATE Budokon International celebrated National Sports Day, birth anniversary of hockey magician Major Dhyanchand, at Ramainagar Buddha Vihar. Kyoshi Harish Choube, National Chief Instructor and Examiner and Style Chief, Karate Budokon International (Vidarbha Region), explained the importance of sports to the students. Choube said that sports is an important part of a student’s growth and development.
 
It helps in development of mental health and physical fitness. Through participating in sports and games, a student acquires various skills, gains experience and develops confidence which are helpful for the development of their overall personality. He also provided karate training to students and explained the merits of karate. Chhatrapati Awardee corporator Dinesh Yadav, Ambade, Naranvre were the guests of the programme. The guests were welcomed by Sensei Disha Choube, Sensei Avani Khobragade, Sensei Ayush Lokhande, Sensei Pranav Jambhulkar and Avantika Somkuwar. Renshi Devanand Pantawane, Renshi Karunkumar Tirupude, Renshi Virendra Lautkar, Renshi Rajesh D’Silva were prominently present. Renshi Pramod Jambhulkar conducted the programme and proposed a vote of thanks.
