Khamtarai police have arrested 14 persons in connection with gambling and recovered around Rs 1,05,400 cash. Following a tip-off about gambling herd, a police team conducted a raid at Transport Nagar under Khamtarai police station limits and arrested 14 persons on charges of gambling on September 12, said Khamtarai Station House Officer (SHO) Vineet Dubey.

 

From the possession of arrested persons, police recovered Rs 105400 cash, added the SHO. SHO informed that the arrested accused gamblers were identified as Pawan Sahu (39), Rupesh kumar Yadu (32), Vishnu Prasad Sahu (30), Jivesh Verma (28), Ashish Agrawal (38), Sandeep Kumar Dhruv (31), Domar Singh Sinha (36), Prakash Jaiswal (44), Krishnakant Chourasiya (32), Rajesh Kumar Agrawal (39), Vedprakash Sahu (26), Mohit Verma (20), Shatrughan Verma (35) and Vijay Kumar Sao (25). The arrested accused persons were booked under relevant Section of Gambling Act.
