Collector Avinash Lavania and Bhopal DIG Irshad Wali inspected the immersion sites of the state capital on Tuesday. They directed the concerned officials and Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) to ensure that there is no congregation of devotees and spectators during immersion at the sites on the final day of Ganesh Chaturthi festival, to avoid any untoward incident.
 
The organisers will have to ensure that social distancing is adhered to. Keeping in view the guidelines issued earlier by Collector and District Magistrate Bhopal Avinash Lavania and according to the new instructions issued by Government of Madhya Pradesh, Ministry of Home Affairs, Vallabh Bhawan Bhopal, under section 144, restrictive orders have been passed until further orders in the revenue limits of Bhopal district. It may be mentioned that in view of the Covid infections, cultural programs, Jagran, entertainment programs, sports competitions and Bhandara etc. are banned at the tableau venue or idol installation site. Religious, social events, moving ceremonies and processions will be strictly prohibited while taking Ganesha idols to the immersion sites. Mass gatherings for immersion will also be strictly prohibited.
