Most of the water bodies in the region are in poor condition due to lack of rain. Swami reservoir located on Gotegaon-Bhama road is also facing the same problem. The farmers of the area are demanding that the reservoir should be filled by connecting the main canal or minor canal of Bargi so that the water level of the area could be improved. About 16 years ago, on the Gotegaon-Bhama road, the Water Resources Department had constructed Swami reservoir at a cost of four crores, from which the farmers of Paharikheda, Lamheta, Mavai etc. villages were to get water for irrigation. But many farmers did not give land for the construction of the canal, due to which the work of the canal is also incomplete and the farmers have not been able to get water for irrigation.

Due to lack of rain this year, most of the reservoir of this region is dry. Farmers said that the reservoir is not being maintained for many years now. Earlier, the reservoir used to fill up in the rainy season, then fish farming was started. But now there is no water. The part of the reservoir in which there is little water is also flowing through seepage, due to which the reservoir will be completely empty within a month or two. Neither farmers will get water nor fish farming will be done in summer. The villagers-farmers have demanded that the reservoir should be filled by connecting it with the canal so that the water level of the area improves and the farmers could get water for irrigation.
