DURG,

Now the vacant land of DMC Kumhari will be used in a better manner. As an industrial corridor will now be built on this 50-acre spread patch very close to the railway track and National Highway so that new possibilities of employment and enterprise can be created in the industrial town of Kumhari. Instructions in this regard were given by Collector Dr Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure during his visit to the DMC campus. He asked the officials to prepare a proposal for a transport hub and park along with the college building here. It may be noted that Dharamsi Morarji Chemicals (DMC) was a big industry in Kumhari town and its proximity to railway transport and NH was industrially important. With the proposal for development of the Industrial Corridor here, the industries concerned will get similar relief.

During his inspection Collector told the officers that along with this, any other proposal which is favorable for the urban body can be sent with it. SDM Dhamdha Brijesh Kshatriya showed the layout of the premises and presented the proposal regarding the needs of the municipality before the collector. During this, Joint Collector Priyanka Verma and other officers were also present. The Collector also discussed other issues related to the needs of the citizens with the officials of Kumhari Municipality. He inquired about the progress of the water supply scheme. The Collector also inquired about the progress of other schemes related to urban administration. Municipality President Rajeshwar Sonkar placed other issues related to civic amenities before the Collector.
