Renowned litterateur and poet Trilok Mahawar was honoured with Ghanshyam Murari Srivastava Pushp Samman for the year 2021. A literary organisation Saakiba in Vidisha, Madhya Pradesh, honoured Mahawar for his literary achievements. President of the literary organisation Brij Shrivastav underlined the achievements of the institution and threw light on the literary achievements of Mahawar in detail during a function.
 
He praised Mahawar for his literary, social and environmental contribution during his stay as Additional Collector in Vidisha and also appreciated his contribution to Betwa Upliftment. It is worth mentioning that Mahawar has so far published five poem collections such as ‘Ab Tak Vishmit Na Hona’, ‘Itna Hi Namak’, Nadi Ke Liye Socho’, and ‘Hijje Sudharta Hai Chhand’. Recently, a book of discussion focused on his poems, ‘Kavita Ka Naya RoopaKar’ was published which has been very popular. Mahawar is rich in versatility, short story, children’s literature, tribal subjects and folk dialects. Mahawar has presented various programmes in All India Radio and Doordarshan for almost four decades. His works have been published in many magazines published by various organisations.
 
He is the secretary of Tarun Shaitya Samiti and founder president of Rotaract Club, and secretary of Nav Ayam Sahityak Sanskritik Manch and founder member and treasurer of Bastar Prakriti Bachao Samiti. Bastar Chamber of Commerce and Than Khamaria Hindi Sahitya Samiti have honoured Mahawar. He has also been honoured with national awards like Pt Madan Mohan Malviya Memorial Award, New Delhi, Ambika Prasad Divya Award and Punjab Kala Sahitya Akademi etc. Mahawar is a resident of Jagdalpur, here he also rendered his services as teacher in a college for some time. He has also been the Vice-Chancellor of the University. He has also received training in Duke University, America and Science Po University, France. Mahawar has worked as Collector of Dhamtari, Janjgir-Champa and Mungeli districts and Commissioner of Surguja, Bilaspur and Durg divisions. Presently Mahawar is posted as Director of Administration Academy, Nimora.
