Colleges asked to encourage students for offline classes
 
 
Pt Ravishankar Shukla University (PRSU), Raipur, is seriously pondering over the commencement of offline examinations if Covid-19 pandemic situation remains under control in the coming days. PRSU Vice-Chancellor Professor K L Verma held a meeting of the principals of all the colleges affiliated to the university and Heads of University Teaching Departments to discuss future strategies for examinations and offline classes on Monday. The meeting was held on virtual mode. The Vice-Chancellor was of the view that the Covid situation is under control now and if this situation continues in future, the University will go for offline examinations. The Vice-Chancellor also asked the colleges to encourage their students to attend offline classes.
 
The colleges should take measures to help students come out of online mindset for better results in the education. According to PRSU Registrar Dr Girish Kant Pandey, the colleges can arrange seminars and other such events to attract their students to come to colleges. Several other measures have also been suggested to encourage students to come to attend offline classes, Dr Pandey said. Principals were also asked to complete work related to NAAC in given time frame.
 
It was decided in the meeting that all educational institutions should complete their admission process by the stipulated time. All educational institutions should immediately complete their teaching work systematically and according to the time table through online/offline medium. Teachers of all educational institutions should complete the evaluation, preparation of question papers etc. within the prescribed time limit. Complete the works fixed in all the colleges related to NAAC within the stipulated time frame.
