NAGPUR District Wushu Association (NDWA) is organising a two-day District-level Wushu Championship 2021 that will commence from Saturday. The championship will be held at Avis Fitness Studio, Central Avenue, Ambedkar Square, Wardhaman Nagar. The event will be inaugurated at 8 am at the hands of Piyush Ambulkar, Sports Officer, Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC).
 
The first bout of youth girls will start at 8: 30 am. The championship will be held in three categories — Sub-Junior, Junior and Senior. Around 250 players from various academies, schools and colleges will take part in the event. NDWA has engaged three chief referees and ten referees for the meet. The championship will be conducted in six slots to avoid rush of players and their supporters strictly adhering to the COVID-19 protocols as stated by the administration. NDWA Secretary Deepak Bisen, owners of Avis Fitness Studio Swapnil Waghule and Avinash Waghule along with other members will be present during the opening ceremony.
