NAGPUR District Fencing Association (NDFA) welcomed the unanimous election of Fencing Association of India (FAI) during a Special General Body Meeting and Election of the Executive Board (2021-25) that was held in Raipur recently. MLA from Noida Pankaj Singh was elected as President while Indian Olympic Association (IOA) Secretary General Rajeev Mehta was elected as General Secretary of FAI.

 

Among others, Satej D Patil, Minister of State for Home, Maharashtra and was picked as Vice-President while Dr Udai Parmeshwar Dongre, Secretary, Maharashtra Fencing Association was named as Assistant Secretary. NDFA Secretary Mohd Shoeb welcomed the move and felt that inclusion of two heavyweights from the State would surely boost sword sport in the region.
