STAMPING her authority, Nagpur Sejal Bhutada continued to dominate the tennis circuit in Maharashtra. After winning the Under-16 title a few days back, the city lass won twin titles in Under-14 category on Friday. Sejal justified her top billing in the singles category and went on to win the title at the AITA All India Junior Circuit (CS-7) tennis tournament played at Sania Mirza Tennis Academy in Hyderabad. If that was not enough, she partnered with Asin Kominini to claim the doubles crown as well in the same age category. It was a phenomenal day for this little giant from Nagpur, which made her parents and the tennis fraternity in city feel proud.

In singles, top seed Sejal won her matches to make it to the finals. In the summit clash she defeated Sai Ananya of Telangana in straight sets 6-4, 6-4 to emerge winner. In the doubles, Sejal and her partner Kominini, who were seeded second, stunned top seeded pair of Ahana Kaur and Rishita Bokka in straight sets 6-1, 6-4 to bag the crown. The twin titles in U-14 category and another in U-16 age group has boosted the confidence of Sejal who will be participating in another tournament (U-16) at the same venue beginning next week. Sejal is a regular player at the MSLTA Tennis Academy at Ramnagar. Her sincerity, hard work and attitude towards the sport has brought out the best in her game. Sejal is coached by Navin, Vishal and Suraj. NDHTA President Prafulla (Kumar) Kale congratulated Sejal on her victory and wished her luck for future tournaments.
