Urban Administration & Development Minister, Arang MLA Dr Shivkumar Dahariya on Sunday felicitated the retired teachers and families of teachers, who died of Covid-19 on the occasion of Teachers’ Day. On the occasion, Dr Dahariya said teachers hold higher place than father in one’s life. Guru gives us wisdom and wisdom builds the society and future the nation. The contribution of teachers in nation building is unforgettable. Dr Dahariya felicitated 29 retired teachers and families of 17 teachers, who lost lives during pandemic.

 

Minister Dr Dahariya said Teachers’ Day is celebrated on the birth anniversary of first President Sarvapalli Dr Radhakrishnan. He expressed empathy with teachers for he too comes from a family of teachers. The programme had the presence of Arang Municipal Council President Chandrashekhar Chandrakar, Janpad President Khileshwar Dewangan, District Panchayat member Makhan Kurre, BEO Daisyrani Jangde, Anita Sahu, Komal Sahu, and Bharati Dewangan.
