Accordingly, Amitesh Kumar, Commissioner of Police, honoured the request. Dr Akshay Shinde, Deputy Commissioner of Police (EOW) confirmed the development and said that the Help Desk was established on December 26, 2021. It will be operated from the office of the EOW on fourth floor of the Administrative Building No 1, Civil Lines. Presently, it is being administered by Amol Dond, Assistant Police Inspector, Cyber Cell, Nagpur city. The Defence personnel and their family members can contact the Help Desk on mobile phone number 9405114422 for grievance regarding their complaints.
The city of Nagpur has several important Defence establishments. Several officers and personnel serving in Defence forces and retired officers and personnel have settled in the city.
The serving officers/personnel often serve in remote corners of the country and find it difficult to devote time to following up the complaints on a regular basis. Hence, the Help Desk has been established. The officers/personnel of Defence or para-military forces can lodge their complaint in person at the Help Desk or through WhatsApp on the above-stated mobile phone number. City Police will follow up the matters for fast-tracking appropriate action.
