The hospital is under scanner for conducting abortion of 13-year-old girl 
 
Skeletons have quite literally begun to tumble out from the closet of Dr Kadam’s Hospital in Arvi. Already under the scanner after a case of illegal abortion of a 13-year-old girl came to fore recently, police team has now found 54 bones and 11 skulls of babies from the biogas plant situated on the premises of the hospital. Investigating Officer Dr Jyotsana Giri informed that all the bones and skulls had been handed over to Medical Officer dr Hemant Patil for tests. The court had granted a day’s police custody remand to accused Dr Rekha Kadam, Kishor Sahare and Nalu Sahare on Tuesday. Later, a team of cops led by Dr Giri reached the hospital and carried out a thorough checking. The cops were in for a shocker as they found bones and skulls inside the biogas plant in the hospital premises.
 
As many as 54 bones and 11 skulls of babies were recovered. The matter of illegal abortions taking place in the Kadam Hospital came to fore when parents of the 13-year-old girl and her 17-year-old friend entered into an ugly fight post the abortion. They went to the police station to lodge complaint and that is when cops came to know of the illegal practice. Meanwhile, nurse Sangeeta Kale was also arrested by police on Wednesday for helping in the procedure. Also, the Special Sessions Judge rejected police plea to extend Dr Rekha Kadam’s police custody remand and sent her two days of magisterial custody remand.
