“Undoubtedly, BJP will improve its victory graph in Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections 2022. Residents of Uttar Pradesh are now understanding the definition of development better under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath as they had never witnessed pace of infrastructural development, law and order arrangements and communal harmony earlier,” claimed Union Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Giriraj Singh while interacting with the media, on Sunday. Union Minister Giriraj Singh, accompanied by Union Minister of State for Food Processing and Jal Shakti, Prahlad Singh Patel, was on a short visit to the city. Union Minister Giriraj Singh said that after winning UP Assembly elections 2007, Mayavati Government had declared to give 100 seats to Muslim community and lost election in 2012 and Samajwadi Party named Akhilesh Yadav as Chief Minister. In his tenure, CM Akhilesh Yadav played politics of appeasement while crime rate and communal clashes were at peak till five years. Since formation of BJP Government in year 2017 there was no tolerance for ideologies like Jinnah and Aurangzeb in Uttar Pradesh while public got relief from crime and terrorism under the leadership of CM Yogi Adityanath. Replying to a query on door-to-door visit of Priyanka Gandhi in Uttar Pradesh, Giriraj Singh said that the Congress family failed in establishing a collectorate in their ancestral Parliamentary constituency Amethi and any kind of stunt will not be enough to misguide public. He informed that PM Modi’s commitment of doubling the income of farmers, Panchayati Raj and Rural Development Department has set a target of increasing membership of self-help group Ajivika Mission up to 10 crore till 2024. There was only 2.35 crore members with 80,000 crores bank linkage before Modi Government which is now 8.50 crores members with bank linkage of 4.50 lakh crore by increasing the monthly income of women from Rs 8,000 to Rs 12,000. Efforts are being made on war footing for providing benefits of Ajivika Mission to 1/3rd women till 2022 and 100 per cent women till year 2025.
