Seriously injured male bear dies

The male bear which was brought in severe injured condition from Pandadoh Beat, Khandabad village of Budhni circle passed away during treatment at Van Vihar on Sunday. The age of male bear was around eight to ten years. The autopsy of bear was performed by veterinary doctor Atul Gupta, Dr Pravesh Bhardwaj and Dr Rajat Kulkarni. The autopsy was done in front of forest officials of Van Vihar and Sehore forest circle. The prima facie reason of bear death is said to be excessive bleeding. This male bear remained entangled in fencing for around 12 hours. In the bid to escape, male bear got injured seriously.
 
Its teeth’s were broken and it had also suffered a deep wound in stomach. It was due to this wound that bear suffered excessive bleeding. After autopsy, this male bear was burnt in front of Van Vihar and Sehore Forest Circle officers. It was on January 1 that this male bear was found entangled in the fencing and was rescued from Khandawad village of Budhni forest circle. Rescue team comprised Dilip Batham, Naval Kushwah, Sachin Parsai, Vinod Jatav etc. Rescue team was led by Dr Atul Gupta and Dr Rajat Kulkarni.
