Raipur Municipal Corporation (RMC) Mayor Aijaz Dhebar appealed bankers to play active role in getting Raipur on top of the Swacchta Survekshan-2022 ranking at meeting of Bank Association on Monday. The meeting also had RMC Health Department in-charge Nagbhushan Rao, Health Officer Vijay Pandey, and Swacch Bharat Mission Executive Engineer Raghumani Pradhan and other officers in attendance. Mayor exhorted the bankers to declare their establishments no polythene zone by joining the no polythene campaign to be a part of environment conservation movement. He appealed bankers to stop using plastic cups or cutlery and to completely prohibit in banks and replace them with paper cups. Mayor also urged bankers to come forward in raising awareness and to participate in Swacchta public awareness march from Jaistambh Chowk to Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk on January 8, 2022.
 
Mayor announced that Swacch Bank awards will be given to top-three cleanest banks selected out of a competition starting from January 10, 2022. Mayor also urged them work on three R principle i.e. Reduce, Reuse and Recycle and download Swacchta App to get immediate solution to complaints regarding sanitation and to get live location of garbage collection vehicles or lodge complaint regarding absence of sanitation workers or garbage vehicles. He also informed them about toll free number 1100 to register their complaints regarding sanitation and other basic civic amenities.
