RULING the roost in state tournaments, young an upcoming city shuttler Aditya Yaul bagged Under-11 boys title at Maharashtra Sub-Junior State Badminton Championship that concluded in Ratnagiri on Saturday. Aditya was too good for Pratham Raut of Palghar winning the one-sided final in straight games 21-10, 21-12. Aditya also reached U-13 boys singles semi-final but lost the hard-fought match against current U-13 national second rank player and Maharashtra championship Yash Sinha from Thane 18-21, 18-21.
 
With his good performances in last few months, it is expected that Aditya might get selected for U-11 Mini National Badminton Championship going to be held at Noida (UP) next month Aditya trains under the guidance of coach Amit Raut at Divisional Sports Complex, Mankapur. Nagpur’s Mayank Rajput and Pratham won the U-11 boys doubles final against top seed pair Ashlon Pinto and Pragnay Shinde of Palghar in three games 10-21, 23-21, 21-19. Mayank trains under the guidance of Kunal Dasarwar at Dhanwate National College Badminton Hall. Sanvi Ghate and Vaishnavi Manglekar lost the final against the top seed Shravani Bamankar of Palghar and Khyati Katre of Pune 11-21, 13-21. Vaishnavi and Sanvi train under coach Harshit Mandal.
