Members of two rival students’ unions, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) staged separate protests against disappointing results of BCom (second year) at Rani Durgavati University campus, on Thursday.

Dissatisfied with the shocking result of BCom (econd year) in which around 80 per cent students were disqualified, the ABVP and NSUI staged separate protests at the university campus. They demanded to conduct re-valuation to improve the results.

The NSUI workers were protesting under the leadership of former District Vice-President, NSUI, Adnan Ansari and Mohammed Shahnawaz whereas, the ABVP’s protest was led by City Secretary, Makhan Sharma and Sarvam Rathore. ABVP’s Secretary, Sharma alleged that the BCom (second year) examination was conducted in April and its results were declared after seven months, in which around 80 per cent students were declared disqualified. On the other hand, NSUI’s Ansari alleged that the University constantly displays careless attitude towards revaluation work, ignoring the students’ interest. Earlier, their repeated appeals went in vain as no action was taken in the part of University administration to improve the scenario which was going against the students’ interest. Outsource agencies and guest faculties are hired to conduct valuation process, which pushes the students’ future towards uncertainty. However, finally the University administration issued order to conduct revaluation without taking any fee from students.
