Bishop Follow-up: Jacob, Singh removed from all CNI bodies

The Synod of the Church of North India has removed Suresh C Jacob and Piyush Paul Singh from all the concerned bodies within the structure of Church of North India (CNI).
According to the Synod of the Church of North India, in the special executive meeting held on October 14, 2022, it was opinionated that Suresh C. Jacob and Piyush Paul Singh, both the members of the CNI Synod Executive Committee, had lost their moral ground to represent in any position within the structure of the Church of North India. Office-bearers have unanimously decided in the 276th meeting held on October 20, 2022 that Suresh C. Jacob and Piyush Paul Singh be removed from all the posts they are holding within the structure of the Church of North India with immediate effect It may be noted that continuing investigation in the case of disproportionate properties and misappropriation of funds by Bishop PC Singh, Economic Offence Wing (EOW) Jabalpur had arrested Manager Suresh C. Jacob and his son Piyush Paul Singh for their involvement in misappropriation of funds. It may be noted that, on September 8, EOW Jabalpur team raided the office and bungalow of Bishop PC Singh and seized cash of Rs 1,65,14,000 Indian currency, 18,352 US Dollars, 118 Pounds, gold jewellery amounting to Rs. 80 lakhs, documents of 48 bank accounts of different schools and documents of 17 properties.
Besides this, district administration had suspended the application for renewal of lease of United Christian Missionary
Society owned by Bishop PC Singh and merged the 1.70 lakh square feet land amounting to Rs. 1.70 crores in the Government records.
