Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that there is an immense potential in all the industrial areas in Madhya Pradesh. Madhya Pradesh is a centre of attraction for investors in all sectors, including textile, food processing, pharmaceutical sector. Here with the single window system, it is possible to complete the process of setting up the industry in a smooth and time-bound manner. Madhya Pradesh is also one of the most prosperous states of the country in terms of tourism. The State Government is committed to promote investment in Madhya Pradesh to fulfill the resolve of making India a $5 trillion economy by the year 2026. Land bank of 1,22,000 acres, adequate water, electricity, road network, skilled human resources and peaceful environment are available in the State. All investor friends are welcome in Madhya Pradesh. Investors will not have to face any kind of problem.
Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing the gathering of top industrialists in a programme Investment Opportunities in Madhya Pradesh at Hotel Hyatt Regency, Pune. This programme was organised in Pune on the second day of the two-day visit to promote investment and invite industrialists to the summit for the Global Investors Summit to be held in Indore in January 2023. A day earlier on October 20, Chouhan had interacted with investors in New Delhi. He also held one-to-one discussions with potential investors.
Inviting potential investors to invest to the State, Chief Minister Chouhan said that e-vehicle is the need of the future. It has been decided to build a park for e-vehicle companies in the State. We have laid a network of roads in Madhya Pradesh. Two expressways are being constructed in the State. Connecting the ravines of Chambal, the Atal Expressway and the Narmada Expressway from Amarkantak directly to the border of Gujarat are being built. The irrigated area in Madhya Pradesh was 7.5 lakh hectares, which we have increased to 45 lakh hectares. The irrigated area will be 65 lakh hectares in the next 3 years. For ten consecutive years, we have registered an agriculture growth rate of more than 18 percent, which is a miracle. Infrastructure, health-education, good governance and economy and employment are the priority areas for the state government.
Chief Minister Chouhan said, “During the pandemic, I too got infected with corona. At that time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while talking about turning disaster into opportunity, gave the mantra of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ (Self-reliant India). We have made a roadmap of Self-reliant Madhya Pradesh for a Self-reliant India, which is being implemented”. Madhya Pradesh is continuously moving towards industrial development. The State is also one of the prosperous states of the country from the point of view of tourism. Shri Mahakal Lok dedicated by Prime Minister Modi is attracting attention of the world. Chouhan said that a network of large and medium dams is being laid in the State, due to which the availability of water will be easy. Madhya Pradesh is the first state where labour reforms have been done. Now women in the State can also work in three shifts. The State has an industry-friendly policy. Chouhan said that I invite you all for the Bharatiya Pravasi Diwas and Global Investors Summit. You must not wait for the summit, start the process of investing today and now. I reserve time every Monday for industrialists, you can visit me anytime, he said. Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Dattigaon said that Madhya Pradesh is making progress in auto component, service sector, food processing, hospitality, textile etc. Madhya Pradesh is the first state in the country to have its own auto-show. There are many ITIs here as well as IITs and IIMs. Global Skill Park has been set up in Bhopal with the help of Singapore, where skilled manpower is being created. Many agricultural products including wheat, rice, garlic, onion, maize, soybean, dairy products are being exported by Madhya Pradesh to the Middle East and UAE. He said that Madhya Pradesh, which was once called BIMARU state, has today come under the category of developed states due to the firm determination and tireless efforts of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Principal Secretary, Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion, Sanjay Shukla gave information about the facilities and policies available for investment in the state. MD of MPIDC John Kingsley thanked the industrialists. A short film depicting the rich, social, cultural, natural, industrial, tourism heritage and infrastructure of Madhya Pradesh was also shown in the programme. Councel General of Israel Kobi Shoni, Baba Kalyani of Bharat Forge Limited, Sanjay Kirloskar of Kirloskar Brothers Limited, Ashwini Malhotra, Managing Director of Weikfields Foods Private Limited, Diego Graffi of Piaggio Vehicles India Private Limited, Ravi Pandit, Managing Director of KPIT Technology Ltd., Utkarsh Monoto of ZF Steering Gears, Vishal Chauradia of Praveen Masala (Suhana Masala), Adit Rathi of Rathi Group and Ashish Malpani of Malpani Group interacted with Chouhan on investment proposals in Madhya Pradesh.
