Lawyers submit memo to Home Minister

Representative Council members of State Bar Council of Madhya Pradesh have submitted a memorandum to Home Minister Dr Narottam Mishra and State Law Minister Rampal Singh at Bhopal on Wednesday under the leadership of Madhya Pradesh State Bar Council Co-Chairman Manish Tiwari. Through this memorandum, the representative council members have pointed several problems being faced by the advocates and making the basic facilities available for the advocates. In this series, the members have presented 12 points memorandum to the Law minister. Some of the major demands include imposing of Advocate Protection Act, to make death claim available in parallel amount of Rs 2.50 lakh by State Bar Council, to make advocates eligible for Ayushman card, to impose Advocate Pension Scheme at Government level and other such demands. Taking note on these issues, the State Law Minister has assured the advocates to resolve their issues shortly.
