Gautami Bhanot bags silver in 15th Asian Air Gun Shooting Championship

Adding another gem to the victory crown, Gun for Glory Shooting Academy Jabalpur’s Rifle Shooter Gautami Bhanot bagged a silver medal in the ongoing 15th Asian Air Gun Shooting Championship at Daegu in South Korea, on Friday.
Representing the Indian team, Gautami achieved her personal best score of 631 in qualification round and qualified for final round. Final round witnessed a crucial contest of Gautami Bhanot with her closest opponent of India and secured silver medal for the country.
Student of Class 10th, Gautami is student of Gun for Glory’s ambitious Project Leap and practicing at GFG Jabalpur since last 5-years under the guidance of international coach, Nishant Nathwani. She is daughter of Aditi and Manu Bhanot and her younger sister Jhanvi is also an upcoming shooter.
GFG Jabalpur, Director, Prashant Jain informed that Bhanot sisters are brilliant in academics and also proving their mettle in shooting sports. Parents are also backing them tremendously for overall development of their daughters.
It is a matter of pride that four daughters of Jabalpur are representing the country in international competitions as Gautami is the fourth international player. GFG Jabalpur Branch was inaugurated 8-years back and till date its four women players have clinched total 31 international medals.
Gaga Narang Sports Promotion Foundation, Founder, Gagan Narang and Pawan Kumar Singh have congratulated to Gautami Bhanot for her maiden international achievement.
