South Eastern Central Railway (SECR), Nagpur division is expanding facilities for passengers at railway station and in trains. In this regard, at Hatta road station, Rail point was upgraded and foot over bridge has been constructed.

Public dedication of these facilities was done in a graceful function held at Hatta road station. The public dedication was done by Minister, Ayush and Water Resources Ramkishore Kanwre, Member of Parliament Dhal Singh Bisen. The special guest on the occasion was DRM Maninder Uppal, ZRUCC member Monil Jain, DRUCC member Arun Rahangdale, Station Committee members Raj Harinkhede, Ravish Kumar Singh, Senior DM (Commerce), ACM Arvind Anand and other public representatives.

At Hatta road station. the availability of foot overbridge would extend safe and comfortable commuting. With completion of rail point at this station. local traders, businessmen would get an alternative for transporting their products, goods. The traders can load unload their goods at Balaghat and Hatta road station and hence it would facilitate commerce, business in the area. On the occasion, discussion was held on the expansion of goods shade. Consent arise on the expansion of gate and ticket counter on other side of Balaghat station, additional Foot Overbridge at Balaghat station. On demand of Auto Association, MP Bisen agreed for allocation of space for auto parking. He asked officers to make arrangements in this regard.

Earlier, MP Bisen had demanded for expansion of reservation booking facilities at Balaghat station and ZRUCC members Monil Jain also suggested for updating the non reserved ticket counter.

Hence Division Rail office permitted additional ticket booking counter with immediate effect at Balaghat station. now from this counter, PRS ticket can be sought from 3 am to 10 pm. at present, Balaghat station had only one ticket counter which was opened from 8 am to 3 pm. Nagpur Mandal, in future would take up more infrastructure, work at station, would develop more facilities for passengers, would ensure cleanliness in station.
