In a tragic incident, a youth was killed about above one dozen persons were injured when a bus ferrying the villagers from Jabalpur to Shahdol to attend the public meeting of the President. The speeding bus (MP-20PA-2177) ferrying around 35-40 passengers from Jabalpur to Shahdol was overturned in Pakariya village in Katni district, on Tuesday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Ashu Kol (22), a resident of Khudawal village while more than dozen passengers were injured and their condition is reported to be stable undergoing treatment at the hospital. Taking prompt action on the information, Collector, Avi Prasad and Superintendent of Police, Sunil Kumar Jain along with other administrative and police officers reached the spot and started rescuing the passengers. The injured were rushed at Primary Health
Centre in Pan Umaria. Some of the partially injured were discharged after giving them primary treatment and critically injured were rushed at District Government Hospital Jabalpur where six of them are undergoing treatment at ICU. Collector, Saurabh Suman along with Jila Panchayat, CEO, Siloni Didana and CMHO, Dr. Sanjay Mishra reached the hospital and took stock the health of patients. Officers interacted with patients and sought about their health and directed the concerned officers and doctors for providing best treatment to the injured. They also assured the injured for providing all necessary facilities. CMHO, Dr. Sanjay Mishra informed that total 12 patients are undergoing treatment at district hospital and six of them are in ICU and one in surgical ward and five are undergoing treatment in orthopedic ward and another injured is admitted at Government Hospital Sihora.
