A number of senior office bearers and members of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), on Thursday staged massive protest and burned the effigy of former Chief Minister and MPCC President, Kamal Nath for cutting a temple-shaped cake on his birthday. BJYM members also lodged a complaint at Omti Police Station and demanded strict action against Nath.
District President Yogendra Singh said Kamal Nath has insulted Sanatan Dharma by cutting a cake having picture of Lord Hanuman on the top. He must apologise for the objectionable act. Singh said it is an insult to Sanatan tradition, an insult to Hindu religion and the society will not accept it. Singh said Kamal Nath has nothing to do with devotion to God.
He belongs to the same party which once opposed Ram Mandir. Kamal Nath remembers Lord Hanuman only for vote bank said BJYM District President Yogendra Yadav and added that Kamal Nath and Congress should apologise to all followers of Sanatan Dharma for the act, which has hurt the religious sentiments of Hindus.
Those present during the protest were Pankaj Dubey, Harish Thakur, Raunak Agrawal, Arnav Tiwari, Ram Sonkar, Shubham Arihant, Yash Raj Sharma, Ravindra Tiwari, Ankit Pathak, Sajal Vishnoi, Anshu Gupta and others.
