Umesh Sharma, posted in Water Resources Department in Seoni district, and his colleagues are running a training campaign to make children of the village aware of swimming. Sometimes, adverse conditions are created in rivers, ponds and canals. Due to which people accidentally die due to drowning. To avoid these accidental incidents, swimming team is running an awareness campaign to teach swimming to children of rural areas. Swimming public awareness campaign was started from Madhya Pradesh foundation day - On November 1, Madhya Pradesh Foundation Day, the swimming public awareness campaign was started from the Wainganga coast of Chhapara. After that, the swimmers conducting the swimming training campaign are continuously training in the rural areas.
Children, youth showing enthusiasm towards learning swimming - According to the information received, swimming team members Ramesh Singh Chauhan, Umesh Sharma, Jagbir Singh, Dayaram Pancheshwar, Siyaram Pancheshwar, Suklal Bhalavi, Jagan Yadav, Yogesh Singh, Ramji Sivvedi, Dinesh Dehria participated in the swimming training program in Suakheda Bhimgarh dam filling area. Rural young children are being awakened to take part in swimming training.
At the same time, training is being given to teach swimming to children continuously for 2 hours. The joint team of swimming veteran Umesh Sharma and Jagat Singh told that this campaign will continue. In the coming time, this training program will be organised in village Khairi Tola on the banks of river Ganga.
Ganga Jamuna Godavari Swimming Club has been formed to make people aware about this public awareness campaign. The purpose of which is to awaken the desire of swimming among the youth and to do rescue work in flood disaster affected areas. Dozens of young children including Balakram Yadav, Rajesh Sarathe, Jeevan Chaukse, Suresh Yadav of village Suakheda are present on this occasion. The team formed to teach swimming told that this awareness training campaign will be conducted continuously to teach rural young children of Wainganga river bank and Bhimgarh dam filling area.
