Madhya Pradesh team brought laurels by winning five Gold, a Silver and seven Bronze medals in recently held 31st Senior National Wushu Championship in Shrinagar.
The State team comprised of 46 players under the supervision of Coach, Vishwamitra Award recipient Sarika Gupta and assistant coaches Anami, Dharmendra and Nitish participated in the championship. The championship was inaugurated in presence of Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha.During the competition, Madhya Pradesh Wushu players bagged total of 11 medals including 5 Gold medals, 1 Silver medal and 7 Bronze medals. Players who bagged medals included Divyansh Gupta 1 Gold medal, Wingchun 1 Bronze medal, Poornima Rajak 2 Gold medals, Chaquan, Double Weapon, Poorvi Soni, Bhuraksha Dubey 1 Gold medal, Dual Shruti Sarvaiyya 1 gold medal (65 kilogramme), 1 Silver medal group event Namrata Vatra1 Bronze medal (52 kg), Surbhi Srivas 1 Bronze medal, nonetype Subhash Tomar 1 bronze medal Daushu, Saina Khan 1 bronze medal, flexible weapon, Anjali Parihar 1 bronze medal, Subhash Tomar 1 Bronze medal and Shubhmani Pandey 1 Bronze medal. On this achievement, N K Tripathi President of the MP Wushu Association, Indian Wushu Association President Bhupendra Singh Bajwa, Indian Wushu Association Chief Executive Officer Sohail Ahmed, Sports Director Ravi Gupta and others have extended greetings to players.
