One more missing case in Capital turns into murder

A 10-year-old boy was allegedly abducted and murdered in Raipur, which is yet to recover from the incident of an 8-year-old girl’s abduction, rape and murder recently. The minor boy identified as Rupendra Nirmalkar (10), a resident of village Bhansoj under Arang Police Station limits, was abducted and murdered, said a police officer, adding that the body of boy was recovered from a swamp in the village on Saturday.
According to the officer, on December 15, the boy mysteriously went missing following which an offence was registered with Arang Police Station under Section 363 (punishment for kidnapping) of Indian Penal Code (IPC) on Friday and a search was launched. The search for the untraceable boy, who was studying in Class 6 of a government school, ended this afternoon after his body was recovered from a swamp in the village. Police have sent the body for autopsy and further course of action will be moved as per the findings surface in the autopsy report.
Prima-facie investigation hints that the boy might have strangulated or murdered by making him drowned into the swamp, averred police sources. It may be recalled that an 8-year-old girl was recently abducted, raped and murdered in Raipur. In connection with the incident, police have held a 14-year-old boy.
