Agriculture Minister Ravindra Choubey termed the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel as the biggest example of an unbelievable trust of the people in the political leaderships. People’s confidence towards political leadership in democracy has been seen after a long time. He was addressing a press conference.

Ravindra Choubey said that despite the political and ideological differences, Prime Minister Narendra Modi publicly praised the Chief Minister and his schemes in Chhattisgarh during a meeting of NITI Ayog.

Chhattisgarh was identified as a Naxal State and Naxals ran a parallel government in Bastar during 15 years of BJP rule. But, the Bhupesh Baghel Government took the Naxal issue as a socio-economic problem and provided jobs to youths in Bastar. The red-terror is almost finished in Chhattisgarh.

Ravindra Choubey also said that Government’s flagship schemes like mobile medical unit, haat-bazaar clinic, Godhan Nyay yojana, farm labourer Nyay yojana, Swachh Bharat mission performance and others garnered praise and awards at the national level.

Over Rs 1.50 lakh crore were directly transferred to the bank accounts of farmers/poor families. Godhan Nyay Yojana generated employment and the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana benefited farmers. Choubey claimed they provided employment to five lakh youths. That’s why the unemployment rate in Chhattisgarh is down to 0.2 per cent.
