Values more important than package and job: Governor

“UNDOUBTEDLY, job and package are important for students but what is more important for them is their values. It hence becomes important for an individual to respect the teachers who helped him in developing his understanding,” said Governor Anusuiya Uikey while speaking as a guest in silver jubilee function of 1997 batch of Bhilai Institute of Technology, Durg. The Governor also said that she is delighted to see the respect of the students towards their teachers, while adding that they has very well preserved their values and kept them intact. Addressing the students, the Governor further said that the youth is the golden period when one can polish his/her talent and provide it a platform in which the organisation helps positively. Sharing her experience, the Governor said that she often visits her teacher and thank them for their blessings. Meanwhile member-secretary of the college, IP Mishra stated that the BIT always tries hard to impart quality education to the students and make them disciplined so that they can they can become perfect in their field. Director Dr Arun Arora said that the students of BIT have proved their mettle and even in America, an alumni association of BIT students is formed. Principal Mohan Gupta and Vice-Principal Dr Manisha Sharma also expressed their views. 1997 batch students Shailesh Pandey, MLA from Bilaspur and other students also shared their views.
