Indore is all set ready to organise State Government’s mega event, Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas Sammelan and Global Investor Summit. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually inaugurate the three-day Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas Sammelan on January 8. The three-day event will concluded on January 10.
Informing about the programme, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that he had a meeting with the Prime Minister at his residence and apprised him with ongoing preparation of the
upcoming mega programmes. “Seeking Prime Minister Modijis guidance, he has been apprised with the preparations of Pravasi Bharatiya Sammelan, Global Investors Summit at Indore. He has also been briefed with the preparations of G-20 meetings to be held in Madhya Pradesh and Khelo India Games.” In Pravasi Bharatiya Sammelan, delegates from more than 80 countries will participate. While in Global Investors Summit will be held on January 11 and 12. President of Guyana and Suriname will grace the occasion along with diplomats and industrialists of around 68 countries. CM has also requested the PM to inaugurate investors’ summit too. According to the Indore Collector, Illayaraja T, “we are in the process of a dry run for these two events. On December 30, dry run for fire safety will be conducted. While in the hotel there will be a help desk dedicated for the guests. Recently, a meeting was held at the convention centre with the concerned officials.”
He also added that traffic is a very crucial part. Instead of a paper-plan, trips will be conducted from the airport to the venue and the place of accommodation to avoid traffic chaos and hassle-free movement within the city. It has been ensured that medical and treatment facilities, including ambulances and other equipment, will be available.
