SOME unidentified miscreants set afire four cars parked at an open garage in Sector-7, Bhilai during wee hours on Tuesday. After receiving the information, the well-equipped fire fighting squadreached the troubled location and doused the fire. However, no one was hurt in the mishap.
According to information, at about 4:15 pm on Tuesday, some unidentified miscreants set afire four cars, parked at the open garage near the flyover in Sector-7, Bhilai. As the fire broke out it spread fast and engulfed four vehicles at the open garage. On receiving the information, Home Guard, Durg fire fighting squad reached the trouble location and extinguished the fire. In this connection the garage owner Ishhaq Ali, a resident of Ruabandha, Bhilai lodged the police complaint in the matter. The police have recorded the complaint and are further investigating the matter. Rajesh Sahu, Station House Officer, Bhilai Nagar Police Station informed that in the matter the police have received the complaint from the garage owner and have already initiated investigation.
The crime will be registered in the matter on basis of investigation and findings. Nagendra Singh, Commandant, Home Guard, Durg informed that it appeared that some unidentified miscreants set afire vehicles leading to the fire mishap as there was hardly any other possibilities. However, the experts from the agencies concerned will ascertain the cause behind fire. The fire was completely doused with pressing one water-tender into services.
