Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Wednesday announced that Gram Panchayat Kusmi in Bemetara district would be given the status of Nagar Panchayat.
Addressing the villagers during his Bhent Mulaqat programme at Kathia (Ranka) village under Berla block of Bemetara Legislative Assembly on Wednesday, Chief Minister Baghel made various announcements including community hall to be constructed at Ranka, new building to be constructed for Higher Secondary School Ranka-Kathia, administrative approval to be given to Chana Gheghri Ghat, Gram Panchayat Kusmi to be given the status of Nagar Panchayat, Swami Atmanand English Medium School to be opened at Kusmi, Jevra-Arjuni-Boriya route to be upgraded and administrative approval to be given for widening of the road and Swami Atmanand English Medium School to be set up at Ranka-Kathia village.
Baghel took feedback from the villagers about the Government schemes.
Chief Minister Baghel said that the aim of the State Government is to boost the income of the common man. People are getting benefitted from Godhan Nyay Yojana, Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana and other schemes, he added.
He said that our government is giving the highest price for paddy to the farmers. The promise was Rs 2,500, but the Congress government is giving Rs 2,640 and 2,660 per quintal to the farmers. The State Government made paddy
procurement easy for the convenience of the farmers. An online token facility has been started. Attention is being paid to works being done in the interest of all sections, he added. Later, he interacted with villagers during his Bhent Mulaqat programme at Devarbija village. He met the delegations of various social organisations at Bemetara. MLA Ashish Kumar Chhabra, Collector Jitendra Kumar Shukla, other officials and public representatives were present.
