Sakshi Mudliar tops Indian Engineering Services exam in women’s category

Sakshi Mudliar, daughter of VST Raman, Math’s Lecturer at BSP’s Senior Secondary School, Sector-10 and Asha Mudliar, Biology lecturer at Government High School, Sector-7, has brought laurels to Bhilai by seuring top rank in the Indian Engineering Services exam 2022 at the national -level in the women’s category. Sakshi has secured the 17th rank at National level overall.
Alumni of DPS Bhilai, Sakshi got 9.15 percentile and did Civil Engineering from NIT, Raipur. She is currently employed as Assistant Engineer in the Chhattisgarh Public Health Engineering Department.
Sakshi gave the IES prelims in February 2022, Mains in June 2022 and Interview in November 2022. The IES results were announced on December 23 and she was thrilled to secure the top position in the women’s category. I want to serve our country sincerely with technical knowledge. She shares that Metro Man E Sreedharan is her mentor, who is himself an IES officer. Sakshi’s elder sister Richa Mudliar has done her PhD from IIT Kanpur.
Thorough preparation of the syllabus with standard books along with repeated practice will pave the way for success for aspirants, she said. Sakshi proudly states that the environment for studies is very good in Bhilai with ample coaching facilities and concerned and aware parents. The positive ambience in Bhilai Township is due to the presence of Bhilai Steel Plant, she added. My selection in IES’s Defense Ministry will offer me a dream job of my choice. Other avenues for IES aspirants include a position in CPWD, Central Water Engineering Service, and Border Road Organisation etc. Sakshi’s other interests include reading Novels and making personal Diary entries.
