Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that there is no ruler in a democracy, all are servants of the people. Service to the public is our religion. Maharaja Khet Singh was a very good ruler, he was constantly engaged in public welfare. Everyone has to work together continuously for good service to the people, happiness for the people and development of the State.
Chief Minister Chouhan attended the Garhkundar festival in Niwari district on Wednesday. On this occasion, Chief Minister Chouhan also released the magazine of Khangar Samaj. The programme was inaugurated by Chief Minister Chouhan with Kanya Pujan. This festival is celebrated every year in the memory of Maharaja Khet Singh.
Chouhan said that a new social revolution has started in the State. We are establishing good governance in the state. The officer/employee who will serve the public better in the state will be rewarded and those who create disturbances will be punished. While there are collectors like Vikas Mishra in Dindori district who work day and night, serious complaints have been received against Niwari district collector Tarun Bhatnagar and Tehsildar Sandeep Sharma. Therefore, Niwari Collector and Tehsildar are removed with immediate effect.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that for the overall development of Niwari, despite being a very small area, it was made a district. I love Niwari more than my life. It is a far away district from the capital. It is the duty of the commissioner to take full care of the arrangements here.
Complaints have been received about irregularities in the land and irregularities in the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana etc., in the district. The Chief Minister instructed the commissioner to get everyone investigated and the dishonest should be punished. Chouhan announced the construction of a community building in the name of Maharaja Khet Singh. He said that the Gajanand temple complex will be developed. He said that on the birth anniversary of Maharaja Khet Singh, officers and employees of the Khangar society would be given optional leave. No stone will be left unturned in taking forward the Khangar Samaj.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that this is the land of heroes, to whom I salute again and again. He said that the Garhkundar festival will continue. The Khangar community has honoured me today by wearing a turban, I will also take full care of the honour and respect of the society. The demands made by the society will be fulfilled on priority. The Chief Minister said that the silver anklets worn by the people of the society would be given to the daughters at their weddings.
Incharge of the district and Minister for Public Works, Cottage and Village Industries Gopal Bhargava said that the demands of Garhkundar area will be met on priority. He said that Raja Khet Singh is a brave man, his pride is in the whole country. His descendants continued to do their work with patriotism. Bhargava said that the Khangar community should move forward, the Government is with them. He said that next year this conference will be better and grander.
Welcoming the Chief Minister in his address, MLA Anil Jain said that this convention is being celebrated since 2006. Jain put demands, including the construction of a community hall at the festival site, and urged them to be fulfilled on priority.
Energy Minister Pradyuman Singh Tomar, Prithvipur MLA Dr Shishupal Singh Yadav, District Panchayat President Saroj Rai, National President of Khangar Samaj Ramesh Khangar, Akhilesh Ayachi, Kaptan Singh, former minister Narayan Singh Kushwaha, Sagar Divisional Commissioner Mukesh Shukla, IG Sagar Anurag, Collector, SP and other public representatives, members of the society, officers and citizens from all over the country were present in large numbers.
