Palwinder, Sheetal are ‘Powerful Indians’

PALWINDER Saini and Sheetal Shastri, both from Maharashtra, hogged the limelight at the National Powerlifting and Benchpress Championship organised by Maharashtra Powerlifting Association and Nagpur District Powerlifting Association at Agrasen Bhavan in Ravi Nagar.
Palwinder was declared as the Power Man of India while Sheetal was declared as Power Woman of India during the championship.
Assam’s Pranjal Bora and Varsha Ramteke of Maharashtra were rewarded with the Strong Master in men and women category.
In the benchpress competition, Assam’s Gautam Hazarika won the Super Master Man of India while Maharashtra’s Dimple Mehera was rewarded with Super Master Woman of India. In junior category, Akash Arekar was adjudged as the Strong Boy of India and Maharashtra’s Hasti Bhanushali Stong Girl of India in powerlifting event.
In benchepress, Andhra Pradesh’s Ravi Ganeshan was named Super Boy of India and Asan’s Gargi Sharma Super Girl of India.
In sub-junior event, Assam’s Rishabh Ghosh was declared as Strong Tin Boy of India and Riyamoni Baru was declared Strong Tin Girl of India.
In benchpress, Maharashtra’s Dhruv Chakravorty was adjudged Super Tin Boy of India and Assam’s Riyamoni Super Tin Girl of India.
Ngapur Mayor Dayashankar Tiwari was the chief guest of the prize distribution function. On the occasion, Nishant Gandhi, Rajmahavir Singh, Nagpur District Powerlifting Association President Sunil Agrawal, Rakesh Sahu, Leo Peter, Sunil Fulzele and others were also present.
