National Safe Motherhood Day was observed under the head of Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matratv Abhiyan at West Central Railway Central Hospital, on Monday.
During the programme, women employees of Railways and their relatives were given information about precautions essential during pregnancy. Gynecologists detailed about necessary precautions through power-point presentation.
Similarly, the day was observed at Sub Divisional Rail Hospital, New Katni Junction where Dr. RK Singh, Additional Chief Medical Superintendent, Dr. Smit Shrivastava, Divisional Medical Officer, Dr. Ravi Shankar Meena, Assistant Divisional Medical Officer, Dr. Bhargava Teja Nayak, Assistant Divisional Medical Officer, Dr. Upasana, Dental Surgeon and other hospital employees were present.
Day observed at Jabalpur Hospital, Research Centre
Safe Motherhood Day was celebrated at Jabalpur Hospital and Research Centre on Monday.
Addressing the programme, Dr. Richa Dhiravani discussed about significant points
required for safe motherhood. Dr. Richa emphasized over constant monitoring of haemoglobin count during pregnancy as it is quite necessary for pregnant women to keep their haemoglobin count in normal range. Simultaneously, vaccination of both the mother and infant also plays significant role to keep them protected from different infections and threatening diseases.
Other expert speakers incluing Dr. Pragya Dhiravani, Dr. Sangeeta Shrivastava and Dr. Priya Duggal also updated the patients’ relatives and hospital staff about many important things regarding safe motherhood. A poster competition was also organised by the nursing staff. The programme was concluded with prize distribution ceremony during which winners were awarded.
