With the motto of ‘Jiyo aur Jeene Do’, the Jain community celebrated the 24th ‘Teerthankar Mahavir Swami Jayanti’ by taking out a procession in the city on Thursday.
The procession commenced from Hanumantal Temple with ‘Namokar’ chants under the joint aegis of various community organisations including Jain Nav Yuvak Sabha, Digamber Jain Panchayat Sabha and other such Samitis.
On the occasion, roads were adorned with ‘rangolis’ while the Jain temples were beautifully decorated. Apart from tableaux and chariots, the silver chariot (Rajat Rath) created by Shri Jain Nav Yuvak Sabha was the centre of attraction during the entire procession.
Commencing from Hanumantal temple, the procession visited main roads of city including Ghoda Nakkas Tiraha, Kotwali, Kamaniya Gate, Vijay Cutpiece, Khajanchi Chowk, Tularam Chowk, Karamchand Chowk, Malviya Chowk, Super Market, Lordganj Tiraha and Ghamandi Chowk. The procession ended up at Bada Fuhara where disciples practiced ‘Maha Mastishkabhishek’, ‘Mahashanti Dhara’ and ‘Nritya Mahapooja’.
It may be noted that the procession was taken out under the guidance of 25 ‘Kshullak Maharaj’ including Muni Sudha Sagar, Muni Pujyasagar, Ailak Dhairyasagar, Kshullak Gambhir Sagar and others. The procession was graced by MLA Vinay Saxena, Former Minister Sharad Jain, Akhilesh Jain, Ashish Dubey, City Congress President, Jagat Bahadur Singh ‘Annu’, Jain Panchayat Sabha President, Kailash Chandra Jain, Satyendra Jain, Nav Yuvak Sabha President Gaurav Jain and others.
