For the first time in the history of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College and Hospital, the hypocrite oath was replaced by the authentic Maharishi Charak Shapath during White Coat Ceremony organised on Saturday. The White Coat Ceremony was organised for the students of MBBS 21-22 Batch where they took ‘Charat Shapath’ as per advise of Medical Education Regulatory, National Medical Commission. Dean, NSCB Medical College, Dr. PK Kasar and Programme Coordinator and Head of Gynaecology Department, Dr. Kavita Singh administered the pledge among the students to be disciplined and sincere towards their duties.

 

The ceremony was especially attended by Dr. KK Gaur, Dr. Shashi Prabha Tomar, Dr. Namrata Dubey, Dr. Parvez Siddiqui, Dr. Ruchir, Dr. Natwar, Dr. Gaur and other members of Syllabus Committee. After inaugurating the ceremony, Dean Dr. Kasar recalled and shared his memories from MBBS days and told how he used to pen down all the lectures in Hindi and translated it in English later. Dr. Kavita Singh updated the students about MBBS syllabus and given them tips about significance of White Coat and how they can serve the suffering patients following all protocols. HoD, Phase I, Dr. Namrata Dubey also guided the students and motivated them to enhance their qualities to achieve expertise in the medical field.
