Railway Parcel Management System (PMS) is proving to be a boon for continuous monitoring and security of parcel or luggage on the rail route. Jabalpur Rail Division has started the PMS service for ensuring security and safety of parcel and luggage and providing better services to its customers.

Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Vishwaranjan informed that under the Parcel Management System, separate computerized counters have been established at Jabalpur, Satna, Katni, Rewa and Pipariya railway stations. Any person can book parcel or luggage through electronic weighing machine. In the process, every consignment will have unique barcode sticker to monitor the location of parcel. It will also check the probability of damage, loss of over carry problems. PMS service will be soon started at remaining railway stations for providing utmost benefits.
