THE Ajay Dayal Badminton Academy (ADBA) felicitated its top player of Nagpur including Ritika Thaker who has been selected in the Indian squad for prestigious Uber Cup to be held in Bangkok. Before the international duty for the nation, the doubles specialist will be participating in the Badminton Asia Championships to be held at Manila from April 26 to May 1. Ritika stood fourth in the women’s doubles with Simran Singhi and fifth in the mixed doubles with Deep Rambhiya in the just concluded BAI selection trials.

 

The standing makes her eligible for Core Group of the BAI. Guiding budding players of the club on the occasion, Ritka offered a few words of wisdom and thanked Ajay Sir and the entire team for their efforts that has made her reach this level. The academy also felicitated young and upcoming players Nehal Gosavi, Krisha Soni and Nabeel Ahmad for their selection and role in the inter-district tourney that was held in Thane where Nagpur did a commendable job. Dayal conducted the proceedings and proposed a vote of thanks.
