The last rites of brave martyr CISF soldier Shankar Prasad Patel, resident of Naugavaon of Maihar tehsil, were performed with full State and Military honours, on Sunday at his native village Naugavaon .
It may be recalled that brave solider Shankar Prasad Patel sacrificed his life in recent terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir state.
The mortal remains were brought to Jabalpur from Delhi Airport in special airplane on Saturday. At 3 pm, in a special vehicle, mortal remains were brought to Naugavaon through road from Jabalpur. At many places, petals were showered on the mortal remains and people flocked to pay their last respect to the brave soldier.
At four places in Satna district at Jhukehi bypass, Sabhsaganj bypass, Pala bypass, Amdara Basti, people gathered in thousand to pay their last respect.
Meanwhile, Panchayat and Rural Development Minister of State Ramkhilawan Patel and Member of Parliament, Satna, Ganesh Singh visited Naugavaon and laid wreath on the mortal remains on the brave soldier. They paid their last respect and expressed condolence to the bereaved family. Collector Anurag Verma, S.P Dharamveer Singh also paid their last respect to the brave soldier at Naugavaon.
