Youth stabbed to death over petty dispute in Makka Nagar

A youth was stabbed in the chest following an argument on a petty issue at Makka Nagar Mohariya under Hanumantal Police Station during intervening night of Saturday and Sunday. The injured died while undergoing treatment at Government Seth Gobinddas District Hospital.
The deceased was identified as 22-year old Dilshad, a resident of Gali no. 7, Makka Nagar Mohariya, Hanumantal. The deceased’s 20-year old wife, Shabnam Bano informed the police that she was sitting with her neighbour Shabana at around 2.45 am on Sunday, when Shabana’s husband Naseem alias Ajay arrived and abused his wife for having friendship with Shabnam. Suddenly, Shabnam’s husband Dilshad arrived and tried to pacify Naseem. Getting furious due to Dilshad’s interference, Naseem stabbed him in the chest with a knife. Though, neighbourers immediately took Dilshad to the District Hospital, the doctor after examination, declared him dead.
Following the directives of Superintendent of Police, Siddhartha Bahuguna, City Superintendent, Gohalpur, Akhilesh Gaur and FSL Dr. Neeta Jain reached the hospital immediate;ly the spot and after preparing panchnama, sent the body for postmortem. They also registered a case against Naseem alias Ajay under sections 294 and 302 of IPC and started further investigation.
As per order issued by Superintendent of Police, Bahuguna, Additional Superintendent of Police, City North/Traffic, Sanjay Kumar Agrawal and CSP Gohalpur, Akhilesh Gaur constituted a team under the leadership of TI Hanumantal, Umesh Golhani for immediate arrest of the accused.
